The record-breaking ascent took place on the formidable Ojos del Salado volcano in Chile, the second highest volcano in the world. The volcano’s rugged terrain, extreme altitude, and unforgiving weather conditions posed significant challenges.

The modified 911 Carrera 4S was equipped with various enhancements to handle these challenges. These modifications included a high-altitude intake system, revised suspension, reinforced chassis, and specialized tires.
