Apple Pay provides users with convenient and secure payment options. However, there may be instances where you need to block or cancel a payment. Here’s what you can do:

Recurring Payments:

Apple Pay allows you to manage recurring payments directly within your settings. To cancel these subscriptions, navigate to “Settings” > “Wallet & Apple Pay” > “Subscriptions.” Here, you can view your active subscriptions and tap on the one you wish to cancel.

One-Time Payments:

For one-time payments that you cannot cancel yourself, Apple Pay offers a “Revoke Payment Authorization” option. This allows you to dispute the charge with the merchant before they process it. To revoke payment authorization:

1. Open the “Wallet” app.
2. Tap on the transaction you want to block.
3. Select “Report an Issue.”
4. Follow the prompts to submit your dispute.

Disputes:

If you have already been charged for an unauthorized payment, you can follow these steps to dispute the charge directly with Apple:

1. Go to apple.com/support.
2. Click on “Contact Us.”
3. Select “Billing & Subscriptions.”
4. Choose “Dispute a Charge.”
5. Provide the details of the disputed payment.

Other Options:

In addition to the above methods, you may also consider:

• Contact the merchant directly and request a refund.
• Contact your bank or credit card company and ask them to block the payment.
• Report the incident to the appropriate authorities if you suspect fraud.

Note:

• The Revoke Payment Authorization option may not prevent the merchant from submitting the payment immediately. However, it will prevent them from continuing to authorize future payments.
• If you cancel a subscription, the payment for the current billing period will still be processed.
• Disputes submitted through Apple may take several days to resolve.
