How to Stop Charges on Apple Pay

Apple Pay is a convenient way to make payments using your Apple devices. However, there may be times when you need to stop recurring charges on Apple Pay. Here are two ways to do it:

1. Manage Preferences on the Merchant’s Website

Many merchants allow you to manage your recurring payments directly on their website. To do this:

• Go to the merchant’s website.
• Log in to your account.
• Navigate to the “Subscriptions” or “Recurring Payments” section.
• Find the subscription or recurring payment you want to stop.
• Click on the “Cancel” or “Stop” button.

2. Revoke Payment Authorization within Apple Pay

If you’re unable to stop the recurring charges on the merchant’s website, you can revoke the payment authorization within Apple Pay itself. This will request the merchant to halt future charges to your linked Apple Pay account for that specific transaction.

To do this:

• Open the Wallet app on your Apple device.
• Tap on the Apple Pay card you used for the transaction.
• Tap on the “Transaction Details” tab.
• Find the transaction you want to stop.
• Tap on the “i” button next to the transaction.
• Scroll down to the “Recurring Payments” section.
• Tap on the “Stop” button.

Once you have stopped the recurring charges, you will no longer be charged for that subscription or recurring payment. Keep in mind that it may take a few days for the merchant to process your request.
