How to Streamline Your CIBC e-Transfers and Bypass Security Questions
For added convenience and efficiency, CIBC offers two options to streamline your e-Transfer experiences: Autodeposit and enrolling in the e-Transfer Autodeposit feature.
Autodeposit:
Autodeposit allows you to automatically deposit e-Transfers into your primary CIBC account without answering security questions each time. Here’s how to enroll in Autodeposit:
- Log into your CIBC online banking account or mobile app.
- Navigate to the settings section, typically found under the “Profile” or “Options” tab.
- Select “Autodeposit” from the available options.
- Choose your preferred contact method (email or mobile number) for receiving e-Transfer notifications.
- Designate the destination account where you want the e-Transfers to be automatically deposited.
e-Transfer Autodeposit Feature:
The e-Transfer Autodeposit feature is similar to Autodeposit, but it allows you to specify the specific e-Transfer sender and amount for automatic transfers. Here’s how to enable the e-Transfer Autodeposit feature:
- Log into your CIBC online banking account or mobile app.
- Navigate to the “e-Transfer” section.
- Select “Settings” or “Manage e-Transfers.”
- Look for the “e-Transfer Autodeposit” option and select “Enable.”
- Add the email address or mobile number of the sender you want to receive automatic e-Transfers from.
- Enter the amount for the automatic transfers.
By enrolling in either Autodeposit or the e-Transfer Autodeposit feature, you can eliminate the inconvenience of answering security questions every time you receive an e-Transfer. These features not only save you time but also provide greater convenience and peace of mind.
