Connecting Your PC to iPhone’s Wi-Fi Hotspot
Step 1: Enable Personal Hotspot on iPhone
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
- Navigate to “Cellular” or “Mobile Data” (depending on your iOS version).
- Scroll down and select “Personal Hotspot.”
- Toggle the switch to “On.”
Step 2: Connect Your PC via USB or Bluetooth
USB Connection:
- Connect your iPhone to your PC using a USB cable.
- Your PC should automatically recognize the Wi-Fi hotspot.
Bluetooth Connection:
- On your PC, enable Bluetooth from the System Tray or Settings.
- On your iPhone, navigate to the “Personal Hotspot” settings mentioned above.
- Choose “Bluetooth Tethering” and toggle it to “On.”
- On your PC, select your iPhone’s name in the available Bluetooth devices list and click “Connect.”
Step 3: Confirm Connection on PC
- Once connected, you should see a Wi-Fi icon in the System Tray of your PC.
- Hover over the icon to ensure it shows your iPhone as the active connection.
- If the connection is not established automatically, manually connect to your iPhone’s Wi-Fi network in the Network & Internet settings.
Additional Notes:
- Ensure that your iPhone has sufficient cellular data to share.
- The Personal Hotspot feature may use a small amount of cellular data.
- You can change the Wi-Fi password for your hotspot by tapping on the “Wi-Fi Password” field in the Personal Hotspot settings on your iPhone.
