Entering Thailand: Visa-on-Arrival Fees
Upon arrival in Thailand, foreign nationals from certain countries are required to obtain a visa-on-arrival (VOA) to enter the country. This VOA fee is currently set at 2,000 Thai baht (THB).
Important Notes:
- The VOA fee is non-refundable.
- The fee must be paid in cash using only Thai currency.

Visa-Exemption Countries:
Citizens of the following countries are exempt from the VOA requirement and can enter Thailand visa-free for stays up to the specified number of days:
- ASEAN countries (Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Vietnam): 30 days
- Afghanistan, Albania, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Bulgaria, China, Cuba, Georgia, India, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Latvia, Lithuania, Maldives, Mauritius, Mexico, North Macedonia, Oman, Peru, Romania, San Marino, Serbia, Slovenia, South Korea, Taiwan, Uzbekistan: 30 days
- Japan, Monaco, Switzerland, United States of America: 90 days
- Hong Kong, Macau: 90 days (holders of Hong Kong SAR or Macao SAR passport only)
Duration of Stay:
The VOA is valid for a single entry and allows a stay of up to 15 days. For stays longer than 15 days, travelers must apply for an extension of stay at the Immigration Bureau in Thailand.
