What disqualifies you from Global Entry?
Global Entry applicants must be honest and forthright. Providing misleading or incomplete details automatically disqualifies you. A criminal record, encompassing past convictions, pending charges, or unresolved warrants, including offenses like driving under the influence, also leads to ineligibility for the program.
What Disqualifies You from Global Entry?
Global Entry is a U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) program that allows pre-approved, low-risk travelers to enter the United States through automated kiosks at select airports. To be eligible for Global Entry, applicants must meet certain requirements, including:
- Being a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or citizen of certain other countries
- Having a valid passport
- Having a clean criminal record
- Being willing to undergo a background check
- Paying a $100 application fee
Applicants who do not meet all of the eligibility requirements will be disqualified from Global Entry. Some of the most common reasons for disqualification include:
- Having a criminal record, including past convictions, pending charges, or unresolved warrants
- Providing misleading or incomplete information on the Global Entry application
- Being under the age of 18
- Being a citizen of a country that is not eligible for Global Entry
If you are disqualified from Global Entry, you will not be able to use the automated kiosks at U.S. airports. You will instead need to go through the regular customs and immigration lines.
If you are not sure whether you are eligible for Global Entry, you can apply online and CBP will determine your eligibility. You can also contact CBP directly for more information.
