Global Entry Disqualification Criteria

Global Entry, a trusted traveler program offered by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), provides expedited clearance through immigration and customs upon arrival in the United States. While many individuals qualify for this program, certain factors can disqualify an applicant.

Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for Global Entry, applicants must:

• Be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident
• Have a valid passport
• Be at least 18 years of age
• Have a low-risk travel history and no criminal convictions

Disqualification Criteria

The following criteria will disqualify an applicant from Global Entry:

Falsified Application Information

Any deliberate misrepresentation or omission of material information on the Global Entry application will result in disqualification. This includes:

• Incorrect or incomplete personal information
• False travel or employment history
• Misrepresenting criminal convictions or pending charges

Criminal Convictions

Applicants with any felony convictions, or certain misdemeanor convictions related to terrorism, child exploitation, or drug trafficking, are ineligible for Global Entry.

Pending Charges or Outstanding Warrants

Individuals with any pending criminal charges or outstanding arrest warrants are ineligible for Global Entry until the charges are resolved or the warrants are lifted.

Other Factors

In addition to the above criteria, other factors that may disqualify an applicant include:

• Prior history of failing to comply with Global Entry program requirements
• Involvement in organized crime or terrorist activities
• Concern about the applicant posing a security risk to the United States

Consequences of Disqualification

Applicants who are disqualified from Global Entry will not be eligible for the program. Additionally, they may be subject to additional scrutiny by CBP upon arrival in the United States.

Maintaining Eligibility

Global Entry is a conditional membership program. Applicants who are approved for the program must continue to meet the eligibility requirements throughout their membership period. Any changes in circumstances, such as a criminal conviction or a change in travel history, must be reported to CBP immediately.
