So, how do you actually do it? The process is generally the same across most Android devices, and slightly different for iOS.

Android:

1. Access Device Settings: Open your phone’s settings. This is usually represented by a gear or cogwheel icon.
2. Find App Management: The wording may vary slightly depending on your device and Android version, but look for options like “Apps,” “Applications,” “App Management,” or “Apps & notifications.”
3. Select the App: Scroll through the list of installed apps and tap on the one you want to clear data for.
4. Choose “Storage & cache”: This option will lead you to the app’s specific storage details.

iOS (iPhone/iPad):

iOS handles data management slightly differently. While you can’t clear all data for an app like on Android, you can manage storage by offloading or deleting the app.

• Offloading: This removes the app but keeps its data. If you reinstall the app, your data will be restored. Go to Settings > General > iPhone Storage, select the app, and tap “Offload App.”
• Deleting: This removes the app and all its associated data. You can delete an app directly from the home screen by long-pressing the app icon and selecting “Remove App,” then “Delete App.” Alternatively, you can go to Settings > General > iPhone Storage, select the app, and tap “Delete App.”
