How to get a 90 day visa in Vietnam?
How to Secure a 90-Day Visa for Vietnam
Vietnam’s Electronic Visa (E-Visa) program offers foreign travelers the convenience of obtaining a visa without visiting an embassy or consulate. Holders of an E-Visa are permitted to stay in Vietnam for up to 90 days.
Eligibility
The E-Visa is available to citizens of many countries, including the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia. A full list of eligible countries can be found on the Vietnamese E-Visa website.
Application Process
To apply for an E-Visa, follow these steps:
- Visit the E-Visa website: https://evisa.xuatnhapcanh.gov.vn/
- Create an account: Provide your email address and create a password.
- Complete the application form: Provide your personal details, including passport information, travel dates, and visa type (single or multiple entries).
- Upload supporting documents: This may include a passport-sized photo and a copy of your passport’s biographical page.
- Pay the processing fee: Single-entry visas cost $25, while multiple-entry visas cost $50. Payment can be made via bank transfer or credit card.
Processing Time
E-Visa applications are typically processed within three business days. You will be notified via email when your visa has been approved.
Validity and Use
Once approved, the E-Visa is valid for 30 days from the date of issuance. You must enter Vietnam within this period. Upon arrival in Vietnam, show your E-Visa printout and passport to immigration officials.
Multiple-Entry Visas
Multiple-entry E-Visas allow you to enter and leave Vietnam multiple times during the 90-day validity period. However, each stay cannot exceed 30 days.
Important Note
- The E-Visa is for tourism purposes only.
- You must have a valid passport with at least 6 months of validity beyond your intended departure date from Vietnam.
- It is recommended to apply for your E-Visa well in advance of your travel dates.
- Keep a copy of your E-Visa printout and passport with you at all times during your stay in Vietnam.
